Distribution of Smartphones and Tablets to Students

Venue:   Maharishi University of Information Technology, Noida.

Objective of the Event: To streamline the distribution process and ensure timely delivery of tablets and smartphones to the intended beneficiaries, thereby maximizing the impact of the technology initiative. Additionally, the event aimed to publicly affirm the government's dedication to youth development and to showcase the transformative potential of technology in shaping the lives of young people.

The Tablet and Smartphone distribution was organized at Maharishi University of Information Technology, Noida, on July 27, 2024, and August 12, 22, and 23rd, 2024. Under the auspices of the Swami Vivekanand Youth Empowerment Scheme, the Uttar Pradesh government facilitated the distribution of smartphones and tablets to students across all the departments of the university.

The event commenced with opening remarks by our chief guests, Sh. Shakti Mohan Awasthi, DCP Gautam Buddha Nagar, and Sh. R.K. Sharma, Senior Officer, Health Department, Noida Authority, respectively. They emphasized the importance of digital literacy and the role of technology in empowering the youth. They delivered an inspiring address, highlighting the government's commitment to youth development and the potential of technology to transform lives.

A smooth and efficient distribution process was implemented, ensuring that the tablets and smartphones reached the intended beneficiaries. The beneficiaries were the students from various schools: School of Engineering Technology, School of Business Management, School of Pharmacy, School of Media & Animation, School of Science and Humanities, School of Science of Consciousness, and School of Law.

The tablet and smartphone distribution initiative is expected to have a profound impact on the lives of the beneficiaries. By providing access to digital devices and online resources, the program aims to:

  • Enhance students' academic performance
  • Facilitate online learning and research
  • Create opportunities for skill development and employment.
  • Bridge the digital divide and promote digital literacy.

The event was meticulously planned and executed under the stewardship of Dean of Academics Dr. Trapty Agarwal and Deputy Dean of Academics Dr. Smita Mishra, with the esteemed presence of deans from various departments.
