Maharishi University celebrated Guru Purnima on July 21, 2024 at both its Noida and Lucknow campuses. The program commenced with the introduction of Guru Purnima followed by Guru Puja to seek blessings of Gurudev. Everyone enjoyed a video talk by Maharishi ji recorded in 1984! The highlight of the event was an Award Ceremony, which included recognition of new Sidhas, regular practitioners of Transcendental Meditators and participants of courses on Science of Creative Intelligence and Maharishi's Successful Management. The award ceremony was opened by Smt. Nishi Shrivastava, and the awards were given by dignitaries including Honorable Chancellor, Shri Ajay Prakash Shrivastava; Director General, Prof.  (Grp. Capt.) OP Sharma; Vice Chancellor, Prof. (Dr.) B.P. Singh; Advisor SoC, Ms. Aditi Shrivastava; Finance Officer, Mr. Varun Shrivastava; Registrar, Mr. Girish Chhimwal and Dean Academics- Lucknow Campus, Dr. Neeraj Jain, and Dr. Trapty Agarwal, Noida Campus were present at respective campuses.

 

The next section of the program included the cultural performances by the faculty members from both campuses, followed by the blessings by Honorable Vice Chancellor, words of wisdom by Honorable Director General, and words of percipience by Honorable Chancellor. Then everyone practiced Transcendental Meditation. The event concluded with the vote of thanks by Dean, School of Science of Consciousness, Dr. Mudita Agarwal.

The program was meticulously moderated by Mr. Mandeep Awana at Noida Campus and by Dr. Rupam Singh at Lucknow Campus.

Overall, the Guru Purnima celebration at Maharishi University was a solemn and joyful event, filled with gratitude towards Gurudev and Maharishi ji for giving a possibility to live in enlightenment with the practice of Transcendental Meditation.
