“Parliament House Visit”

Organized by: Maharishi law School in coordination with IQAC.

Objective of the Event: The objective of the Parliament House visit was to familiarize students with the workings of the legislative assembly, deepen their knowledge of parliamentary democracy, and facilitate engagement with elected representatives. Through firsthand observation and interaction, students were expected to gain insights into the legislative process and its significance in governance.

Academic Society of Maharishi Law School in coordination with IQAC organized a court organized a visit to Parliament House on 12^th March 2021, providing students with a unique opportunity to witness the functioning of the legislative branch of government. The visit aimed to enhance students' understanding of parliamentary procedures, legislative processes, and the role of lawmakers in shaping public policy.

The visit commenced with an orientation session conducted by faculty members, providing students with an overview of the parliamentary structure, functions of the legislature, and the significance of parliamentary sessions in lawmaking.

During the visit, students had the opportunity to observe the role of Members of Parliament (MPs) in presenting bills, raising questions. Additionally, students toured the premises, including the legislative chambers, committee rooms, and other key facilities, gaining insights into the day-to-day operations of the legislature. The group was accompanied by Ms. Prabha Tripathi (Assistant Professor), Mr. Sumer Malik (Assistant Professor). The event saw enthusiastic participation from students and faculty member.
