Maharishi’s Transcendental Meditation is a simple, natural, effortless and scientifically verified technique of accessing the deeper states of mental awareness. It calms the restless mind and provides deep rest to the body, resulting in removal of stress, rejuvenation, improvement in mental and physical health, bliss and positivity is an ancient, non-religious technique of releasing stress and reaching one’s fullest potential, which was first taught by His Holiness Maharishi Mahesh Yogi in 1958. Since then it has been learnt by more than 10 million people around the world, including TV show host Oprah Winfrey, The Beatles, Actors Hugh Jackman, Cameron Diaz, and Anushka Sharma; Comedians Jim Carrey, Russell Brand, Jerry Seinfeld, David Lynch (founder of the David Lynch Foundation, a popular Non – Profit Organization in the United States.
We all face challenges in our lives. With the changing environment, it becomes essential for an individual to adapt to the change and cope up with it. The capability of an individual to deal with these challenges with a positive attitude is the need of today which can only be conquered efficiently by learning Life Skills.
Life skills are empowering skills that enable students to analyze their capacities to enhance the function in a most productive way. This further helps students to meet the challenges and risks, maximize opportunities and solve problems in cooperative, non-violent ways. Science of Consciousness as a subject helps to improve a person’s sense of self as an individual and a member of society.
Learning the traits of teamwork, mutual respect, communication and stress management are required to achieve success in today’s life. The Life Skills are included in the curriculum of MUIT so that students learn them and excel in these skills. The curriculum aims at improving the social skills, analytical skills, thinking skills and emotional skills to develop interpersonal skills that help students to take right decisions, solve problems, think critically and creatively, communicate effectively, build healthy relationships, empathize with others, and cope with managing their lives in a healthy and productive manner.
