Orientation Programme

MUIT Noida: Law Orientation Programme 2020

Ane-orientation programme for the first year students of LL.B, BA.LL.B, BBA.LL.B and LL.M was conducted by the Maharishi Law School (MLS), Maharishi University of Information Technology, Noida on 2nd November, 2020. The Chief Guest for the day wasSh. R.S. Goswami, former Chairman of the Bar Council of Delhi and presently the Chairman of the Enrollment Committee of the Bar Council of Delhi.

The Programme was conducted by Ms. IlaRai and Ms. RuchitaKaundal, Assistant Professors at Maharishi Law School.

The Orientation of the students started with a brief introduction of the University through an impressive video clip shared on the presentation screen followed by the recital of the ‘SaraswatiVandana’. Thereafter the students were formerly welcomed by the Professor (Dr.) K.B. Asthana, Dean of Maharishi Law School. In his address, Prof. Asthana elaborated upon the scheme and pedagogy followed at Maharishi Law School in detail through a power point presentation. The e-orientation programme was then addressed by each faculty member including Dr. AnnuBahlMehra (Dy. Dean, MLS), Ms. IlaRai, Ms. RuchitaKaundal, Mr. Padmesh Kataria, Mr. Vikas Sharma and Ms. Shrishti Pandey by briefly giving their self introduction.

The Chief Guest took the podium next and gave aninspiring yet very practical set of guidelines and tips to the students in his stimulating speech. The programme continued with the thought provoking address by Prof. (Dr.) Ajay Kumar, Dean Academics and Associate Registrar, MUIT. The students were then addressed by Prof. (Dr.) BhimSen Singh, Hon. Advisor, MUIT,Board of Governors with his motivational and candid speech and also by Sh. Ajay Tyagi, Advisor, MLS with his valuable words of wisdom to the freshers. The students also had the opportunity of getting a brief on Science of Consciousness and Transcendental Meditation which is the USP of MUIT by Dr. Mudita Agarwal, Dy. Dean, Maharishi School of Science of Consciousness, MUIT. The ERP team too gave a brief on the working and application of the official portal of the University for the purpose of online classes.

This was followed by the invigorating words Prof. (Dr.) Bhanu Pratap Singh, Hon. Vice Chancellor, MUIT.

The session ended with a vote of thanks by Mr. Padmesh Kataria, Assistant Professor, Law.

The programme got a resounding response and witnessed one hundred percent participation of the first year law students.
