The academic field of mass communication examines the numerous ways in which people and organizations use mass media to simultaneously disseminate information to large populations. As these media are used for both news dissemination and advertising, it is typically understood to refer to the publication of newspapers and magazines, radio, television, digital or web media, and films. The main goal of this courses is to teach students how to effectively communicate ideas to large audiences. With the help of the course's outdoor projects, students can gain experience in a variety of professional fields, including film, journalism, radio, television, social media, advertising, and public relations, among others.
