Educational visit to Amrit Udyan Rashtrapati Bhawan, NewDelhi

B. Pharm 4th Semester students of Maharishi University of Information Technology, Maharishi School of Pharmaceuticals, visited Amrit Udyan, located within the premises of Rashtrapati Bhavan, New Delhi – 110004, on 21 February 2026. The visit aimed to enhance their knowledge of medicinal plants, herbal resources, and their importance in pharmaceutical sciences. The students were accompanied and guided by faculty members Ms. Monika Joshi and Ms. Richa Mudgal.
During the visit, the students observed a wide variety of medicinal and aromatic plants, herbal species, and their botanical characteristics. They gained valuable insights into the therapeutic uses of different plants and their applications in both traditional and modern medicine. The visit also provided information on plant conservation, cultivation practices, and the role of herbal gardens in pharmaceutical education and research.
This educational visit significantly enhanced the students’ practical understanding of medicinal plants and their pharmaceutical relevance. Overall, the visit was informative and enriching, fostering greater interest among students in pharmacognosy and herbal pharmaceutical sciences.
