Educational visit of B. Pharm 3rd year students to Translational Health Science and Technology Institute (THSTI), Faridabad

Maharishi School of Pharmaceuticals, Maharishi University of Information Technology, Noida, organised an institutional visit for B. Pharm 6th-semester students to the Translational Health Science and Technology Institute (THSTI) on 19th February 2026. The visit was conducted under the guidance of Dr. Shweta Bajaj (Dean) and Mr. Ankit Tyagi (Deputy Dean).
The objective of the visit was to provide practical exposure to advanced research facilities and to help students understand the role of translational research in drug development and healthcare innovation. The THSTI authorities warmly welcomed the students and provided an overview of the institute’s research activities and infrastructure.
Students visited four major departments: the Bioassay Laboratory, where drug potency and biological activity are evaluated; the Vaccine Design and Development Centre, which focuses on vaccine research and immunogenicity studies; the Mass Spectroscopy facility, used for molecular characterisation and drug analysis; and the Medicinal Chemistry Department, where drug molecules are designed and optimised through structure–activity relationship studies.
The visit helped students understand the practical applications of pharmaceutical sciences in drug discovery, diagnostics, and vaccine development. It was highly informative and enhanced their knowledge of modern research techniques and advanced instrumentation. Overall, the institutional visit was a valuable learning experience that motivated students towards research and innovation in the pharmaceutical field.
