“BUDGET PE CHARCHA – Detailed Discussion on INDIAN BUDGET 2026–2027”

 

 

Objective of the Event:

 

The objective of the event was to conduct a detailed discussion on the Indian Budget 2026–2027, enabling students to analyze and evaluate the government’s fiscal policies and their impact on various sectors of the economy. The discussion aimed to enhance students’ understanding of budgetary provisions related to defense, agriculture, inflation, taxation, railways, rural development, women entrepreneurs, healthcare, MSMEs, energy, and employment.

 

Participating Students:
A total of 33 students participated in the event. Among them, 11 students from MBA and B.Com 2nd Semester actively delivered presentations.

The Maharishi School of Business Management, Noida, organised an academic activity titled “Budget Pe Charcha 2026–2027” for students on 11 February 2026 at the SOBM Department, MUIT, Noida Campus. Each participant was assigned a specific portfolio such as agriculture, taxation, railways, inflation, rural development, women entrepreneurs, defense, healthcare, MSMEs, and education to ensure focused and in-depth discussion.

The session commenced with students presenting well-researched analyses of their assigned sectors, highlighting the budget’s implications for overall economic growth and national development. The discussion on education emphasized increased investment in skill development, digital learning, and strengthening academic infrastructure. The IT and Innovation segment focused on support for digital transformation, startups, and emerging technologies. The healthcare discussion highlighted enhanced funding for public health infrastructure, medical research, and affordable healthcare initiatives.

The MSME sector analysis emphasized credit support, ease of doing business, and employment generation measures. The water and rural development segment focused on drinking water projects, sanitation, irrigation, and rural infrastructure development. The agriculture discussion highlighted farmer welfare schemes, sustainable farming practices, and rural income enhancement. The Orange Economy segment examined budgetary support for culture, creative industries, and tourism. The railway sector discussion emphasized modernization, safety measures, improved connectivity, and infrastructure expansion.

The discussion involved active interaction between Dr. Azad Singh (Dean, MSOBM) and the students during their presentations. Students received constructive feedback and engaged in meaningful dialogue on budgetary provisions and their sector-wise impact.

The event was formally concluded by Dr. Neha Agrawal (Assistant Professor, MSOBM), who appreciated the analytical depth of the presentations and encouraged students to continuously engage in policy-based discussions. The event significantly enhanced students’ financial literacy, critical thinking, and understanding of national economic policymaking.
