Uttar Pradesh Diwas
“Ganatantra Ke Rang, Uttar Pradesh Ke Sang”

Organised by: Cultural Committee and Literary Committee (MUIT Lucknow Campus) in association with IQAC
Objective: In compliance with the directives (Letter No. 58/Seventy-3-2025-1884670 dated 16 January 2026) issued by the Government of Uttar Pradesh to celebrate Uttar Pradesh Diwas–2026 across educational institutions for promoting the cultural, historical, and developmental identity of the state, Maharishi University of Information Technology (MUIT Lucknow Campus) organized the programme on Uttar Pradesh Diwas themed “Ganatantra Ke Rang, Uttar Pradesh Ke Sang” with great enthusiasm on 26th January 2026. The celebration was aimed at creating awareness among students, faculty and staff members about the glorious heritage, traditions, and progress of Uttar Pradesh while fostering a sense of pride and responsibility towards the state.
Participating Students: Students from different schools of MUIT Lucknow Campus along with faculty and staff members.
Event Details: The event commenced with a welcome address by Dean Academics, Dr. Neeraj Jain, who highlighted the significance of the day. Students actively participated in the programme through Poetry Recitation, Speech, and Poster Presentation, demonstrating their creativity, oratory skills, and cultural awareness related to Uttar Pradesh. The participating students included Vaibhav Srivastava (BBA, Sem II), Vineet (B.Sc., Sem IV), and Shivam Singh (Diploma, Sem I) in Poetry Recitation; Rimjhim Mishra (BBA, Sem II), Lakshyalata Dubey (BBA, Sem II), Sakshi Mishra (BBA, Sem II), and Darshika (B.Sc., Sem II) in Speech; and Tusharika Saini (BBA, Sem II), Ujala Gupta (BBA, Sem II), Suman Ram (BBA, Sem II), Shanya Srivastava (B.Sc., Sem IV), Rakhi Yadav (B.Sc., Sem VI), Shreya Singh (B.Sc., Sem VI), and Suhani Sharma (B.Sc., Sem VI) in Poster Presentation.
The poetry recitations reflected the literary richness and folk traditions of the state while paying tribute to freedom fighters and cultural heritage, the speeches highlighted Uttar Pradesh’s role in India’s freedom struggle, constitutional values, and social reform movements, and the poster presentations visually portrayed traditional art forms, monuments, historical events, and themes of unity, heritage preservation, and national pride.

The event was graced by the esteemed Chief Guest, Major Ashok Kumar Singh whose inspiring presence added pride and motivation to the celebration. The programme was further honoured by the presence of Dr. Girish Chhimwal, Registrar: Dr. K. K. Shukla, Controller of Examinations; Dr. Neeraj Jain, Dean Academics; Dr. Vikas Kumar Shukla, Dean Student Welfare, along with other Deans/ Dy Deans and faculty members.
The programme was successfully organized by the Cultural, and Literary Committees in association with IQAC under the convenorship of Dr. Rupam Singh (Dean MSOH), with coordination by Dr. Vijay Srivastava (Associate Prof., MSOH) and Dr. Manoj Kumar Singh (Assistant Prof., MSOH), making the celebration impactful and memorable.
Students Feedback: The students expressed overwhelmingly positive feedback regarding the Uttar Pradesh Diwas celebration, which enabled them to creatively engage with the cultural heritage, history, and freedom struggle of Uttar Pradesh. Participants found the theme intellectually stimulating and felt motivated to explore historical narratives and cultural practices beyond textbooks.
