Maharishi University of Information Technology (MUIT), Noida Campus, celebrated the 77th Republic Day of India with great enthusiasm, patriotism, and a deep sense of national pride on January 26, 2026. The entire campus was filled with the spirit of unity, devotion, and respect for the nation as students, faculty members, and staff gathered to commemorate this significant day in India’s history.

 

The programme began with the assembly of students, faculty, and staff on the university ground for the flag hoisting ceremony. The National Flag was unfurled with dignity and honour, symbolizing the sovereignty, unity, and integrity of the nation. This was followed by the collective singing of the National Anthem, which filled the atmosphere with pride, patriotism, and emotional reverence.

The occasion was graced by the esteemed presence of the Chief Guest, Wing Commander Ajai Bhalla (Retd.), whose distinguished service to the nation added special significance to the celebration. Dean Academics, Dr. Trapty Agarwal, delivered a warm and inspiring welcome address, highlighting the importance of Republic Day and the core values enshrined in the Indian Constitution. Her words encouraged everyone to uphold the ideals of justice, liberty, equality, and fraternity in their personal and professional lives.

As a mark of respect and gratitude, the Chief Guest was felicitated by Dr. Trapty Agarwal with a token of appreciation, expressing the university’s sincere appreciation for his valuable presence and guidance.

The cultural segment of the programme was a major highlight of the celebration. Students presented a variety of patriotic songs, dances, and performances, beautifully showcasing India’s rich cultural heritage. These performances paid heartfelt tribute to the sacrifices of freedom fighters and inspired the audience with a renewed sense of national pride and responsibility.

Addressing the gathering, Wing Commander Ajai Bhalla (Retd.) delivered an inspiring and thought-provoking speech. He emphasized the significance of Republic Day and reminded everyone of their responsibility as citizens to uphold democratic values and contribute positively to society and the nation. He also appreciated the efforts of the organizers, faculty members, and students for making the event successful and memorable.

The programme was gracefully concluded by Dr. Neelu Tiwari, who reinforced the spirit of unity, discipline, and national integrity through her concluding remarks. She expressed her appreciation for the enthusiastic participation of all and highlighted the importance of celebrating such occasions to strengthen national consciousness among the youth.

The celebration concluded with the distribution of sweets, spreading joy, warmth, and a sense of togetherness among all present.

Overall, the 77th Republic Day Celebration at MUIT, Noida Campus was a memorable, meaningful, and inspiring event. It strengthened everyone’s appreciation for the ideals of democracy, freedom, and equality, and reaffirmed the university’s commitment to nurturing responsible, aware, and patriotic citizens of the nation.
