Organized by: Maharishi School of Engineering & Technology (MSoET) in collaboration with IBM & association with IQAC MUIT Noida

 

 

Introduction

Maharishi School of Engineering & Technology of Maharishi University of Information Technology (MUIT) Noida, in collaboration with IBM & association with IQAC, successfully organized a virtual expert session titled “AI Need in Industry and Business” on 26th July,2025 aimed at creating awareness among students about the growing role of Artificial Intelligence in modern industries and business ecosystems.

The session witnessed enthuse   iastic participation from 100+ students of the Maharishi School of Engineering and Technology (MSoET) across various courses including B.Tech. Computer Science, B.Tech. Data Science, B.Tech. Cyber Security, BCA and MCA with specialization in AI/ML.

The session focused on bridging the gap between academic learning and real-world industry requirements by providing practical insights into AI technologies and their business applications.

Objectives of the Session

The key objectives of the expert talk were:

  • To introduce students to the fundamentals and evolution of Artificial Intelligence
  • To highlight the increasing demand for AI skills in industry and business
  • To explain real-world applications of AI, particularly AI chatbots and conversational AI
  • To familiarize students with industry use cases across domains such as HR, Finance, Retail, and Healthcare
  • To guide students on career opportunities and skill requirements in AI-driven roles

Resource Persons / Speakers

1. Mr. Aman Bakshi : Growth Initiative Leader | AI Specialist & Data Scientist
Mr. Aman Bakshi shared deep insights into AI adoption in enterprises, business transformation through AI, and future workforce requirements.

2. Mr. Rahul Batra : AI & Blockchain Developer

Mr. Rahul Batra focused on technical perspectives of AI implementation, chatbot, architectures, and emerging trends combining AI with blockchain technologies.

Session Highlights

The session began with a warm welcome and introduction, followed by an overview of Artificial Intelligence, its history, evolution, and increasing impact across various sectors. The speakers explained how AI has become a driving force behind digital transformation in industries such as healthcare, finance, retail, human resources, and customer service.

A major focus of the session was on AI Chatbots and their role as a digital workforce. The speakers explained the fundamentals of chatbots, Natural Language Processing (NLP), and Conversational AI. Welcome & Inaugural Address (11:00 – 11:10 AM)

The session commenced with a formal welcome address, setting the context and objectives of the program. The importance of industry-academia collaboration, especially with organizations like IBM, was emphasized. Participants were briefed about the relevance of AI in today’s rapidly evolving technological landscape.

AI Foundation & Evolution (11:10 – 11:30 AM)

This segment provided a strong conceptual base, covering:

  • Definition and scope of Artificial Intelligence
  • Historical evolution of AI from rule-based systems to modern deep learning models
  • Types of AI: Narrow AI, General AI, and emerging forms
  • Global impact of AI across sectors such as manufacturing, healthcare, finance, education, logistics, and smart cities

The speakers explained how AI has transitioned from research laboratories to real-world commercial applications.

AI Chatbots – The Digital Workforce (11:30 – 12:15 PM)

This was the most comprehensive and application-oriented segment of the session. Topics discussed included:

  • Introduction to AI chatbots and their working mechanism
  • Role of Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Conversational AI
  • Chatbot use cases in business:

HR: Recruitment screening, employee engagement, onboarding

Finance: Customer support, fraud detection, automated advisory
