Diwali Celebration

Date: 17 October, 2025

On October 17, 2025, the Event and Cultural Committee, in coordination with IQAC, hosted a Diwali celebration at Maharishi University of Information Technology, Noida Campus. The celebration commenced with a serene Guru Puja, which set a spiritual and auspicious tone for the event.

Following the puja, Hon’ble Chancellor Shri Ajay Prakash Shrivastava extended his heartfelt blessings to the students and to the teaching and non-teaching staff members. He emphasized the importance of embracing the light of knowledge and wisdom, drawing a parallel with the festival’s symbolism of the triumph of light over darkness.

This auspicious beginning was followed by vibrant dance performances by hostel students Anushree and Shreya, along with a soulful singing performance by Dr. Bilal Ali from the Faculty of Humanities.

Adding to the excitement, the event also featured the official launch of “Vedansh,” the new mascot of the Animation Department, which was warmly received by everyone present. The unveiling of Vedansh added warmth and a spirit of togetherness to the celebration, reinforcing the strong bond within the academic community.

Subsequently, a quiz based on the Ramayan was conducted, engaging participants and reconnecting them with India’s rich cultural heritage. The excitement continued with interactive games such as “Identify the Tune,” Antakshari, and “Complete the Dialogue,” which brought out the musical and dramatic talents of the students.

The celebration concluded on an exciting note with a lucky draw, where several participants won prizes, adding an element of surprise and delight.

The Diwali celebration was graced by the esteemed presence of Hon’ble Chancellor Shri Ajay Prakash Shrivastava, Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Bhanu Pratap Singh, Director General Prof. Group Capt. O.
