Internal Hackathon for Smart India Hackathon (SIH) 2025

Organized by: Maharishi School of Engineering & Technology, MUIT Noida in collaboration with “International Council for Artificial Intelligence - Cyber Security - Sustainability - Research and Development (ICAICSRD)” & association with IQAC.
Introduction
The Maharishi School of Engineering & Technology (MSoET), Maharishi University of Information Technology (MUIT), Noida Campus, successfully conducted the Internal Hackathon for Smart India Hackathon (SIH) 2025 as a preliminary selection round for the prestigious national-level innovation programme initiated by the Government of India.
The objective of organizing the internal hackathon was to provide a competitive platform for students to ideate, design, and present innovative solutions to real-world problems listed on the SIH 2025 portal and to shortlist the most promising teams to represent the University at the national level of SIH 2025.
Participation and Team Composition
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from approximately 45–47 teams, comprising students from various engineering and computing disciplines.
The large turnout reflected the growing interest of students in innovation, problem-solving, and technology-driven solutions.

Evaluation and Judging Panel
The projects were evaluated by a distinguished panel of judges, comprising both external industry experts and internal faculty members, ensuring a balanced and fair assessment.

The evaluation was based on innovation, feasibility, technical approach, social impact, scalability, and presentation skills. Students also received valuable feedback to improve their solutions for the next stage.
Shortlisting and Outcomes
After rigorous evaluation, the top 12 best-performing teams were shortlisted to represent MUIT at the National Level of Smart India Hackathon 2025. These teams demonstrated exceptional creativity, problem-solving ability, and practical feasibility in their proposed solutions.
