The Maharishi School of Engineering & Technology (MSoET), in collaboration with the Maharishi Innovation & Research Centre (MIRC), organized a 10-Day Web Development Training Program from 17 September to 27 September 2025. The training was conducted by Mr. Tanay Kishore Mishra, Full Stack Developer (MERN & Java), AWS Certified Professional, and Data Science & AI Specialist, with 28 years of excellence in the IT industry.
The training program was designed to provide students with comprehensive knowledge of modern web development technologies and industry-relevant practices. The program witnessed active participation from over 100 students of B.Tech, BCA, and MCA, aiming to strengthen their practical skills in frontend development, backend integration, database management, and deployment techniques. Emphasis was placed on hands-on learning and project-based implementation to prepare students for real-world software development environments.
The primary objectives of the training were:
This module focused on building strong foundations in modern web design practices. Students learned semantic HTML5 structure, advanced CSS selectors, animations, and transitions. A detailed exploration of CSS Flexbox and Grid enabled students to create responsive layouts. The module also covered media queries, mobile-first design principles, and introduced accessibility and SEO basics, allowing students to design user-friendly and optimized web pages.
This module introduced advanced JavaScript concepts and modern ES6+ features such as let and const, arrow functions, destructuring, and spread/rest operators. Topics including callbacks, promises, async/await, and event delegation were explained through practical examples, helping students understand asynchronous programming and efficient event handling.
This module provided an in-depth introduction to React.js, a popular frontend library. Students learned key React concepts including JSX, components, props, and state management. The module also covered form handling, event management, conditional rendering, lists, and keys. Additionally, React Hooks such as useState and useEffect were introduced to help students build dynamic and interactive user interfaces.
Students were introduced to the fundamentals of RESTful APIs and learned how to fetch and display data using fetch and axios in React applications. The module emphasized API integration, handling loading states, managing errors, and performing asynchronous operations in user interfaces.
This module familiarized students with version control systems and collaborative development workflows. Students learned essential Git commands such as init, clone, commit, push, and pull. The session also covered GitHub collaboration, pull requests, and best practices for folder structure. Deployment techniques using platforms such as GitHub Pages, Netlify, and Vercel were demonstrated.
This module covered NoSQL database concepts and introduced students to MongoDB Atlas and Mongoose schemas and models. Students learned how to connect backend services to cloud databases and perform CRUD operations.
The session further included integrating React applications with an Express backend, making API calls, configuring CORS, and transmitting form data between the client and server.
Additionally, authentication fundamentals using JWT (JSON Web Tokens) were explained, including creating login and signup routes, password hashing using bcrypt, JWT token generation and validation, securing private routes, and managing authentication tokens on the frontend.
The final module focused on a Capstone Project, where students applied all the concepts learned during the training. Students developed single-page applications such as a blog, task manager, or portfolio website, incorporating responsive design, React frontend development, API integration, GitHub version control, and online deployment.
By the end of the training, students:
The 10-Day Web Development Training Program organized by MSoET in collaboration with MIRC was a successful initiative that significantly enhanced the technical competencies of B.Tech, BCA, and MCA students. The structured, module-wise approach—combined with hands-on practice and a capstone project—ensured effective learning and practical exposure.
The training aligned well with the university’s vision of promoting skill-based education, innovation, and industry readiness, empowering students to pursue successful careers in web development and related domains.
