Objective of the Event
The objective of the event was to recognize and celebrate the vital role of pharmacists in improving health outcomes, promoting the safe use of medications, and advancing pharmacy practice globally. The event also aimed to raise awareness about the significant contributions of pharmacists to patient care and public health.

Participating Students
Students from the B.Pharm and D.Pharm programs were the primary participants in the World Pharmacists Day 2025 celebrations.

Event Overview
The School of Pharmaceutical Sciences celebrated World Pharmacists Day on 25th September 2025 (Thursday) from 10:00 AM onwards, in coordination with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC). The theme for World Pharmacists Day 2025 was “Think Health, Think Pharmacist.” This theme highlighted the importance of pharmacists in ensuring access to essential medicines, preventing health risks, and responding effectively to health crises. The day served as an opportunity to appreciate the dedication and hard work of pharmacists, pharmaceutical scientists, and professionals in the pharmaceutical field.

The event commenced with a lively awareness rally around the campus, featuring banners and slogans promoting the healthcare system and the role of pharmacists. This was followed by the departmental program, which began with the Pharmacy Oath taken by both students and faculty members.

Students from the B.Pharm and D.Pharm programs actively participated in various competitions, including Rangoli Making, Poster Making, Slogan Writing, Board Decoration, and a Health Camp. These activities showcased students’ knowledge and creativity on topics related to pharmacy practice, pharmaceutical sciences, and healthcare. The event successfully inspired students to make a positive impact in the healthcare sector and promoted a deeper understanding of the pharmacy profession.

Activities Organized

1. Board Decoration Competition
Participants created visually appealing boards illustrating key aspects of the pharmacy profession. Themes included medication safety, the role of pharmacists in community health, and advancements in pharmaceutical sciences.

  • First Prize: Jyoti and team (B.Pharm, 2nd Year)
  • Second Prize: Labroj and team (B.Pharm, 1st Year)

2. Rangoli Competition
Students designed colorful rangoli patterns depicting symbols and messages related to the pharmacy profession. This competition emphasized creativity and traditional art while fostering community participation.

  • Winner: Gopal and team (B.Pharm, 1st Year)
  • Runner-up: Nishu and team (B.Pharm, 2nd Year)

3. Slogan Competition
Participants submitted catchy and informative slogans highlighting the importance of pharmacists in healthcare. Selected slogans were displayed in local pharmacies to enhance community awareness.

  • First Prize: Jyoti (B.Pharm, 2nd Year)
  • Runner-up: Lovely Nayak (B.Pharm, 2nd Year)

4. Poster Presentation Competition
Students prepared informative posters emphasizing various aspects of pharmaceutical care, including medication management, disease prevention, and public health. This activity encouraged research-oriented learning and creativity.

  • First Prize: Tannu Singh (B.Pharm, 3rd Year)
  • Second Prize: Moni Kumari (B.Pharm, 1st Year)

Conclusion
The celebration of World Pharmacists Day 2025 was a resounding success, with over 200 enthusiastic students participating in a wide range of activities. This impressive turnout reflected the passion, dedication, and commitment of the future generation of pharmacists.

The enthusiasm and creativity displayed by the participants not only enhanced appreciation for the pharmacy profession but also strengthened community engagement. The collective efforts of students and faculty made a meaningful impact in promoting awareness of the vital role of pharmacists in public health.
