The objective of celebrating National Pharmacy Week 2025, under the theme “Pharmacists as Advocates of Vaccination,” was to emphasize the significant role of pharmacists in promoting immunization awareness, supporting vaccine uptake, and educating the public about vaccine safety and efficacy. The event aimed to strengthen students’ understanding of pharmacists’ contributions to disease prevention, public health improvement, and guiding communities toward reliable vaccination practices.
B.Pharm and D.Pharm students were the primary participants in the National Pharmacy Week celebrations at the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences.
The School of Pharmaceutical Sciences celebrated National Pharmacy Week from 18th to 20th November 2025 (Tuesday to Thursday) in coordination with IQAC. The theme for the celebration was “Pharmacists as Advocates of Vaccination.” This theme highlighted the vital contribution of pharmacists toward disease prevention, public health promotion, and ensuring community awareness about reliable vaccination practices.
The three-day event featured a variety of creative competitions, academic activities, health-oriented programs, and social welfare initiatives. Students displayed great enthusiasm, innovation, and a strong sense of professional responsibility. The celebration successfully promoted awareness of pharmacy practice, public health, and community service.
Students created vibrant rangoli designs showcasing symbols and messages related to the pharmacy profession. The event emphasized creativity and cultural heritage.
Participants designed short and informative reels focusing on vaccination awareness, the role of pharmacists, and healthcare messaging. This activity enhanced digital creativity and public health communication skills.
Students prepared innovative scientific models using recyclable materials, demonstrating concepts related to pharmaceuticals, drug delivery systems, and healthcare innovation. The event promoted sustainability and scientific thinking.
A quiz covering pharmacy subjects, healthcare concepts, and vaccination awareness was conducted. Students actively participated, showcasing their academic knowledge and quick-thinking abilities.
Students debated contemporary healthcare issues and the role of pharmacists. The competition enhanced communication, analytical reasoning, and critical thinking skills.
On the second day of the National Pharmacy Week celebration, a Blood Donation Camp was organized in collaboration with the Ghaziabad Blood Centre (A Unit of Kesar Charitable Trust, Regd. since 1981). The camp was dedicated to supporting children suffering from Thalassemia, highlighting the importance of voluntary blood donation in saving lives and strengthening public health systems.
Students, faculty members, and volunteers participated enthusiastically, demonstrating compassion and social responsibility. Donors received free blood tests, refreshments, and certificates of appreciation for their noble contribution. The event was efficiently coordinated under faculty supervision, ensuring proper safety protocols and smooth execution.
The day successfully reflected the spirit of service, public health awareness, and the humanitarian responsibilities upheld by pharmacists in society.
The three-day celebration concluded with a Breast Cancer Awareness Program, organized in collaboration with Sh. Jagannath Cancer Hospital. The session aimed to educate students about early detection, screening techniques, preventive measures, and overall breast health.
The expert medical team delivered an informative session covering early diagnosis, self-examination methods, symptoms, and treatment approaches. An interactive presentation helped students understand the growing prevalence of breast cancer and the essential role healthcare professionals play in community education.
A demonstration of breast scanning techniques was also arranged, enabling students to observe modern screening technologies used in early detection. The program encouraged students to become proactive advocates for women's health.
The event was conducted smoothly under the guidance of faculty coordinators, ensuring organized arrangements and active student involvement.
