Students visit to special show “Zee Kachahari”

The Department of Media organised a special visit to Zee News Studios, Noida, on December 10, 2025, as part of the academic curriculum. The purpose of this visit was to help students understand how a live debate is conducted and how an anchor navigates the discussion effectively and productively.

 

The students participated in a show titled “Zee Kachahari,” which featured Shri Sukanta Majumdar, Hon’ble Minister of State, Ministry of Education (Government of India). The show was hosted by Mr Pratyush Khare. Students were also given the opportunity to interact with the anchor, allowing them to gain insights into the challenges involved in conducting live debates.

Furthermore, the students witnessed the technical setup of cameras, lighting, and other studio equipment, and observed the overall process involved in producing a television show. They also gained an understanding of the importance of teamwork, as studio operations require close coordination among various professionals.

In total, 30 students participated in this visit, which proved to be an enriching experience that bridged the gap between classroom learning and practical application. The visit offered numerous benefits to the students. One of the key advantages was practical learning, as they gained firsthand exposure to studio operations that complemented their theoretical knowledge. It also increased their awareness of career opportunities in media, journalism, music production, and filmmaking. Additionally, observing professionals at work inspired students to explore their creativity in content creation.
