2.00 PM to 4:00 PM

Organized by: HR Club, Maharishi School of Business Management, Noida

Objective of the Activity:

The objective of this activity is to provide students with experiential learning opportunities that bridge theoretical HR concepts with practical workplace situations. Through simulated HR scenarios such as recruitment interviews, conflict resolution, performance appraisal, grievance handling, and employee counseling, participants develop critical interpersonal, communication, and decision-making skills. This activity focused on Interview Room Simulation, which aimed to recreate a real-life interview setting where students practiced conducting and facing interviews to enhance their communication, confidence, and HR decision-making skills.

Participating Students:

Twelve students (four groups) from MBA (1st Semester), BBA (3rd Semester), and B.Com (3rd Semester) participated in the activity.

The Interview Room Simulation, organized by the HR Club of Maharishi School of Business Management, was a hands-on learning exercise designed to replicate a real interview setting, allowing students to play the roles of both interviewer and interviewee. Through this simulation, students learned how the hiring process works, including evaluating candidates, asking questions, reading body language, and making informed decisions. It provided a platform for students to apply theoretical HR concepts such as job analysis, competency mapping, and behavioral evaluation in a controlled yet engaging environment. This practice helped students enhance their communication skills, confidence, critical thinking, and interpersonal abilities, preparing them for real-life job interviews in the future.

The event was judged by Dr. Shruti Srivastava. After a thorough evaluation by the judge based on scenario relevance, role clarity, and team coordination, the winners were declared as follows:

  • First Prize: Dipali Narula, Anjani Singh, and Harsh Singh (MBA 1st Semester)
  • Second Prize: Jyoti, Parthiv Roshan Munda, and Harshit Solanki (BBA 3rd Semester)
  • Third Prize: Ridhima Pandey, Nikhil, and Nidhhi Awasthi (B.Com 3rd Semester)

The activity successfully helped participants strengthen key soft skills such as communication, body language, active listening, and problem-solving. It also enabled them to apply theoretical concepts like behavioral interviewing, job analysis, and competency-based assessment in a practical setting. Overall, students emerged more prepared for corporate interactions, demonstrating improved decision-making, analytical thinking, and interpersonal effectiveness, which are essential for successful careers in human resource management.

The participants were appreciated by Dr. Azad Singh (Dean, MSOBM) for their outstanding performance, and all participants received certificates for their enthusiastic involvement
