“Free Grooming and Hygiene Drive”

Objective of the Session
The objective of this session was to promote the overall well-being of students by helping them understand the importance of mental health, hygiene, grooming, and personal presentation. The session aimed to equip students to manage stress, build self-confidence, and prepare themselves for real-world situations like interviews.
Participating Students: More than 200 first-semester students from MBA, BBA, and B.Com programs participated.
The session began with a soulful Guru Puja, followed by the felicitation of the esteemed guest, Ms. Tanisha Jain, by Dr. Azad Singh, Dean SOBM in a gesture of gratitude and welcome.
Ms. Tanisha Jain is a passionate and dedicated Counselling Psychologist who brings a holistic approach to mental health. She blends humanistic and existential therapy to support young adults in navigating everyday challenges such as managing stress, building healthier relationships, and overcoming anxiety.
During the session, Ms. Tanisha highlighted the importance of hygiene and grooming, and how these aspects contribute to self-confidence and positive mental health. She also emphasized the significance of appropriate dressing for both girls and boys, especially in interview settings, explaining how physical appearance plays a vital role in creating a strong first impression and boosting self-esteem.
The session continued with an interactive question-and-answer round, where students enthusiastically engaged with Ms. Tanisha. She responded to their queries with warmth and clarity, offering practical tips and valuable guidance, which made the session even more relatable and impactful. The students actively participated and gained valuable tips on boosting their confidence, caring for their mental and physical health, and presenting themselves more effectively in both academic and professional environments.
The session concluded with a formal Vote of Thanks delivered by Dr. Azad Singh, who expressed heartfelt gratitude to Ms. Tanisha Jain for sharing her time, knowledge, and experience. His words acknowledged the significance of such sessions in shaping the overall personality and future readiness of students.
Conclusion
The session proved to be highly insightful and engaging for the students. Ms. Tanisha Jain not only provided a deeper understanding of mental health and emotional wellbeing but also highlighted the practical aspects of personal hygiene, grooming, and dressing appropriately for professional settings. Her interactive approach, especially during the question-and-answer round, encouraged active participation and made the session more relatable and impactful.
Students left the session with enhanced awareness of the importance of self-care—both mental and physical—and felt more prepared to present themselves confidently in various personal and professional situations. Overall, the session successfully met its objectives of promoting holistic development and equipping students with valuable life skills
