Media Industrial Visit to NMF Digital News Channel

Objectives:

• To provide students with practical exposure to the functioning of a digital news channel.
• To help them understand the process of news production, from editorial planning to broadcasting.
• To familiarize students with digital journalism practices, including news writing, scripting, and editing.
• To bridge the gap between theoretical learning and industry practices through real-time observation.
• To enhance students’ understanding of audience engagement and content management in the digital media landscape.

Report:

On 27th August 2025, Maharishi University of Information Technology, Noida Campus, organized a media visit for the students of the Department of Media. The students had the opportunity to visit the digital news channel — NMF News.

During this insightful engagement, the students explored the end-to-end functioning of a digital news channel — from editorial planning, news gathering, and scripting to the technical processes of production, editing, and broadcasting. They also gained hands-on understanding of news writing styles, content structuring, and audience engagement techniques specific to digital platforms.

This visit not only deepened their academic learning but also helped them connect theory with practice by observing how media professionals work in real time. The exposure to new-age journalism practices and the behind-the-scenes processes of a digital newsroom has certainly added value to their professional readiness.

The NMF News team shared their knowledge and mentored the students through these immersive learning experiences. Such initiatives reinforce our commitment to nurturing future-ready media professionals who are equipped with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills to excel in the dynamic media and communication industry.
