9:00 AM to 05:00 PM

Maharishi University of Information Technology (MUIT), Noida Campus organized “IGNITE – 2025”, a three-day Orientation Programme to warmly welcome its newly admitted students from 1st to 3rd September 2025.

The Orientation 2025 commenced with great energy and enthusiasm. The Maharishi School of Engineering hosted the first day of events, followed by the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Maharishi School of Science of Consciousness, Maharishi School of Humanities, and Maharishi School of Media & Animation on the second day, and concluded with the Maharishi Law School and Maharishi School of Business Management on the final day.

The programme began with the traditional Guru Puja, followed by a soulful and graceful Ganesh Vandana performed by the students, invoking the blessings of Lord Ganesha for wisdom, clarity, and an auspicious start to the academic year. Mr. Gaurav Thakur, Dy. Dean, School of Science of Consciousness, introduced students to the Transcendental Meditation (TM) courses offered at MUIT, highlighting how TM helps students manage stress and improve focus as they embark on their academic journey.

Motivational addresses were delivered by:

  • Hon’ble Chancellor, Shri Ajay Prakash Shrivastava
  • Hon’ble Director General, Group Captain (Prof.) O.P. Sharma
  • Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Dr. Bhanu Pratap Singh
  • Hon’ble Registrar, Dr. Girish Chimwal

Our Dean Academics, Dr. Trapty Agarwal, inspired the students with her words on academic excellence, discipline, and the transformative years ahead. She emphasized that while MUIT provides a nurturing environment for growth, it is equally important for students to take responsibility and accountability for their learning, conduct, and personal development. She encouraged them to value punctuality, uphold integrity in academics, and be accountable for the choices they make during their university journey—reminding them that true success lies not only in achievement but also in the sense of responsibility with which one pursues it.

The Dean Students’ Welfare (DSW), Dr. Shweta Bajaj, welcomed the students and briefed them about the university’s rules and regulations—covering academic conduct, attendance, examinations, and behavioural expectations on campus.

An insightful session by the Training & Placement Cell introduced students to MUIT’s dynamic startup and placement ecosystem, including incubation opportunities, entrepreneurship initiatives, and industry-linked programs.

To give students a glimpse of campus life beyond academics, a vibrant cultural segment was organized. This was followed by a thought-provoking Anti-Ragging Skit performed by senior students. The performance effectively highlighted the harmful impacts of ragging and strongly conveyed the university’s stance of zero tolerance towards it, promoting a culture of respect and inclusion.

The Orientation Programme 2025 was a grand success, marked by the enthusiastic participation of over 1000 newly admitted students from diverse disciplines. The large turnout reflected their excitement and eagerness to begin an enriching academic journey at MUIT.
