Introduction
The International Day of Yoga 2025 was celebrated with great enthusiasm and spirit at the Maharishi University of Information Technology, Noida Campus. As part of the nationwide initiative ‘Yoga Sangam’, the event took place on June 21st from 6:30 AM to 7:45 AM—synchronously with over 1,00,000 locations across India. We were honoured to be among the proud organisers of this remarkable movement, which was led nationally by the Honourable Prime Minister from Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh.

This year’s theme, "One Earth, One Health," resonated deeply with our university’s values, highlighting the importance of holistic health—not just for individuals, but for the planet as well. Faculty members, staff, and students came together in the true spirit of unity, wellness, and inner peace.

Opening Ceremony

The program began with the live telecast of the Honourable Prime Minister’s address. He shared the importance of yoga in daily life and highlighted how yoga connects our health with peace and cultural values. His message encouraged everyone to include yoga in their everyday routine.

Yoga Practice Sessions

Common Yoga Protocol (CYP)

The day started with the Common Yoga Protocol session, which included basic yoga postures, warm-up exercises, and breathing techniques. The session was demonstrated by Mr. Kavindra Negi and Mr. Mukul Tyagi, and conducted by Mr. Vivek Rathore. All participants followed the steps sincerely and enjoyed the session.

Maharishi Yoga Asana Session

After the CYP, participants practiced a set of special yoga postures known as Maharishi Yoga Asanas, inspired by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi. These asanas helped improve body flexibility and brought calmness to the mind.

Transcendental Meditation (TM)

The final session included Transcendental Meditation, where everyone sat quietly and meditated under guidance. This session brought a deep sense of peace, relaxation, and inner clarity.

Refreshments

After the sessions, healthy refreshments including fruits and herbal drinks were served to all participants. Everyone felt energized and shared positive feedback about the yoga experience.

Conclusion

The celebration of International Day of Yoga 2025 at MUIT Noida Campus was a grand success. It truly reflected the message of "One Earth, One Health", showing that yoga helps us care for both our personal well-being and the environment. The event created awareness, inspired healthy habits, and brought a sense of unity among all participants.
