Residence cum Retreat Course

26-30 March, 2025

Objective of the Event:

The objective of the Transcendental Meditation (TM) Residence Cum Retreat, held from 26th March to 30th March 2025 in Uttarakhand, was to provide the faculty and staff with a deeply immersive and rejuvenating experience aimed at enhancing personal well-being, reducing stress, and fostering inner peace through the practice of Transcendental Meditation. The retreat was designed to cultivate higher states of consciousness, deepen the participants’ understanding of self-awareness, and promote unity, coherence, and holistic wellness—both individually and collectively.

The Transcendental Meditation (TM) Residence Cum Retreat (26th March 2025 – 30th March 2025) was organized by MUIT for its faculty and staff of Lucknow Campus in the serene surroundings of Uttarakhand was a profoundly enriching experience, attended by 39 seekers of higher consciousness. This retreat provided an ideal environment for deep contemplation and self-referral, allowing participants to unfold the natural state of inner peace and bliss.

Through the effortless practice of Transcendental Meditation, the participants experienced deep relaxation, dissolving accumulated stress and anxiety. This direct experience confirmed that true calmness is not something to be acquired but rather a natural state of being, effortlessly attained when the mind settles into its own unbounded essence. The structured program included extended meditation sessions, yoga asanas, deep rest, and breathing techniques, collectively known as rounding, which facilitated a profound purification of the nervous system and heightened the experience of transcendence. The collective practice in a harmonious setting further enhanced the meditative experience, making the journey inward more natural and spontaneous.

The retreat emphasized the wisdom of living in the present and transcending the habitual tendencies of the mind that anticipate future uncertainties, thereby ensuring that life remains free from unnecessary suffering. Knowledge sessions integrated into the daily routine provided clarity on the distinction between the mind and the field of pure creative intelligence—the unmanifest source of all thought and action. Advanced techniques of Transcendental Meditation were also imparted, allowing 11 participants to refine their practice, deepen their experience of transcendence, and amplify the benefits of meditation in daily life.

To enrich the retreat with joy and togetherness, team-building activities such as the Human Knot, Communication & Collaboration Games, Outdoor Adventure & Physical Games, Yoga Relay, Mindfulness & Reflection Games, and the Gratitude Circle were introduced. These activities fostered a spirit of unity, coherence, and mutual appreciation. A sublime High Tea at Sunset Point provided an exquisite experience, where the beauty of nature, deep relaxation, and refined perception harmoniously blended, offering participants a glimpse of life lived in higher consciousness—spontaneously blissful, effortlessly fulfilling.

As Maharishi Mahesh Yogi often reminded us, “Life is Bliss.” This retreat was a direct experience of that truth, demonstrating that through the simple yet profound practice of Transcendental Meditation, life can be lived in a state of perpetual inner fulfillment, naturally radiating peace and positivity to the world.
