Objective of the Visit:
The objective of this educational visit to the Indian Air Force Museum in 2025 was to provide students with valuable insights into the history, heritage, and technological advancements of the Indian Air Force.

Participating Students:
The students of BA (J&MC) and MA (J&MC), along with the faculty of the department.

On March 27, 2025, the Department of Media, Maharishi University of Information Technology, Noida, in collaboration with IQAC, organized an enriching educational visit to the Indian Air Force Museum, Palam, New Delhi.

The Indian Air Force Museum, located at the Palam Air Force Station, showcases an extensive collection of aircraft, weaponry, uniforms, and archival photographs. The museum is divided into several sections, including the main hangar, the outdoor aircraft display, and the gallery of historical documents.

At the museum, students learned about the evolution of the Indian Air Force, its significant contributions in various wars, and the advancement of aviation technology. Additionally, the visit provided an opportunity to explore how the museum preserves and presents historical narratives, which is highly relevant to media studies and journalism. The museum offered a great opportunity to understand the important role the Indian Air Force has played in the country’s defence over the years.

The visit was highly informative and engaging for the students. Many expressed their appreciation for the well-preserved exhibits and the detailed information provided by the museum guides. They also recognized the importance of accurate and responsible journalism in covering military affairs and national security topics. Students left with a deeper understanding of the Indian Air Force's legacy and its contributions to the nation's security.

Students from the BAJMC and MAJMC programs, accompanied by Dr. Mithilesh Kumar and Mr. Sunil Kumar Yadav, explored the rich aviation history, military achievements, and technological advancements of the Indian Air Force (IAF). The visit provided invaluable insights into the evolution of the IAF, its role in national security, and the significance of responsible journalism in covering defence and military affairs.

From historical aircraft and weaponry to archival photographs and war contributions, the museum showcased India's proud aviation legacy. Students appreciated the well-maintained exhibits and informative museum guides, leaving with a deeper understanding of the IAF’s impact on the nation.
