Introduction
The Hackathon Brewing Codes 3.0 was successfully organized by the Maharishi School of Engineering & Technology in association with upGrad & IQAC at the Maharishi University of Information Technology, Noida Campus. The 24-hour coding marathon brought together innovative minds from across the country, fostering creativity, teamwork, and technical problem-solving. The event witnessed participation from 70 teams representing various institutions from Jalandhar, Rajasthan, Haryana and Delhi-NCR.
Participants engaged in developing solutions for real-world challenges across five key tracks:
•    Healthcare Innovation for All
•    Technology for Circular Economy
•    Digital Safety & Cyber Security
•    Education for the Digital Age
•    Accessibility in the Digital Age
Day-1 (28-03-2025):
The event began with a sacred Guru Puja, honoring the revered tradition of seeking blessings for wisdom, innovation, and success. This spiritual start set a positive tone for the competition, instilling a sense of focus and dedication among participants. The opening ceremony introduced participants to the competition guidelines and evaluation criteria. Brimming with excitement, they geared up for the 24-hour coding challenge ahead. The hackathon was structured to encourage participants to focus not only on the technical aspects of their projects but also on their real-world impact.
Under the guidance of industry mentors and domain experts, students refined their problem statements, mapped out their technical approaches, and began coding their projects.

Expert Evaluation
Midway through the day, the first evaluation round was conducted by industry experts from upGrad, our guests Dr. Shamneesh Sharma and Mr. Akankshu Shrivastava. The evaluation focused on the conceptual clarity, feasibility, and technical execution of the projects. Teams were assessed on:
•    Problem Identification & Relevance (20 Points)
•    Innovation & Uniqueness (20 Points)
•    Feasibility & Technical Approach (20 Points)
•    Scalability & Impact (20 Points)
•    Presentation & Clarity (20 Points)

The panel engaged with each team, discussing their chosen problem statements, implementation strategies, and potential enhancements. This rigorous assessment process ensured that only the most promising and impactful projects advanced to the next round.
After rigorous evaluation, 12 teams were shortlisted for Round 2, including:
•    Team Pixel – BK Birla Institute of Engineering and Technology (BKBIET), Pilani, Rajasthan
•    Prodigy – Delhi Technological University, Delhi
•    DevCoders – Galgotias University (GU), Greater Noida
•    Byte Code – Maharishi University of Information Technology, Noida
•    Algovengers – University School of Automation and Robotics, GGSIPU, Delhi
•    Radicals – Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Technology, Delhi
•    1 Bug – NIET College
•    TeraByte – Noida International University, Noida
•    Code Warriors 3.1 – Maharishi University of Information Technology, Noida
•    Pavitra Step – Ajay Kumar Garg Engineering College (AKGEC), Ghaziabad
•    Darknight – Maharishi University of Information Technology, Noida
•    Indian Coders – Galgotias University (GU), Greater Noida
Round 2 – The All-Night Coding Sprint
The selected teams advanced to Round 2, where they worked tirelessly overnight to refine their projects, enhance functionalities, and troubleshoot issues. 
To keep energy levels high, the organizers arranged refreshment breaks with coffee, snacks, and music, creating a dynamic and engaging environment. Despite the exhaustion, the teams remained motivated and committed to delivering the best possible version of their projects. The hustle continued until the morning as teams prepared for the final evaluation.
With the first rays of sunlight signaling the arrival of Day 2, the teams wrapped up their coding efforts, marking the end of an exhilarating and intense first day of Hackathon Brewing Codes 3.0.

Day-2 (29-03-2025)

The final round was conducted on March 29, 2025, where the shortlisted teams presented their projects before a distinguished panel of judges Dr. Sakshi, Ms. Kajol Kathuria and Mr. Vijay. The evaluation was based on innovation, technical complexity, scalability, and presentation skills.

Finalists were assessed based on:

  • Functionality & Working Prototype (20 Points)
  • Technical Implementation & Complexity (20 Points)
  • User Experience & Accessibility (20 Points)
  • Real-World Applicability & Adoption Potential (20 Points)
  • Final Presentation & Demo (20 Points)

After a competitive round of presentations, the winners were declared by the esteemed Dean Academics, Dr. Trapty Agarwal.:

Winner:
•    Team Prodigy – Delhi Technological University, Delhi
•    Track - Education for the Digital Age
•    Prize: Trophy, Certificate & Rs. 30,000 cash prize
Runner-Up: 
•    Team ByteCode – Maharishi University of Information Technology, Noida
•    Track - Education for the Digital Age
•    Prize: Trophy, Certificate & Rs. 20,000 cash prize
Conclusion
Hackathon Brewing Codes 3.0 was a resounding success, providing students with an excellent platform to showcase their technical expertise, problem-solving abilities, and teamwork. The event highlighted the role of technology in addressing real-world challenges and set a high benchmark for future hackathons at MUIT, Noida.
The competition not only fostered innovation but also encouraged interdisciplinary collaboration, pushing students to explore cutting-edge solutions across various domains. The dedication and passion displayed by all the teams were truly commendable, making the event an inspiring experience for everyone involved.
Looking ahead, Maharishi University of Information Technology remains committed to promoting technical excellence and innovation by organizing even more engaging and competitive hackathons. With the success of Brewing Codes 3.0, the anticipation for Brewing Codes 4.0 is already building, promising greater participation, tougher challenges, and ground breaking solutions.
