Event Details

The Maharishi School of Science of Consciousness at Maharishi University of Information Technology organized an enriching educational trip to Amrita Udyan, New Delhi, on 11th March 2025 (Tuesday). This trip aimed to provide students with practical exposure to medicinal plants, their therapeutic properties, and the role of plant life in promoting health and wellness.

During the trip, students explored the Herbal-I and Herbal-II sections, where they learned about various medicinal plants and their uses. They engaged with the Tactile Garden, enhancing their sensory understanding of plant life. The itinerary also included an educational session on bonsai cultivation, helping students appreciate the significance of bonsai and its connection to natural wellness. Additionally, students explored Arogya Vanam, a medicinal forest designed to promote health and well-being, further emphasizing the importance of nature in maintaining overall wellness.

The key objective of the trip was to deepen students' understanding of how nature contributes to health and to encourage environmental awareness. Students not only learned about the therapeutic benefits of plants but also gained practical knowledge that complemented their academic curriculum.

Faculty members Dr. Shanay Alam, Dr. Umesh Kumar, and Mukul Tyagi accompanied the students, providing guidance and mentorship throughout the trip. Their support ensured a well-structured learning experience, fostering an environment for both exploration and education.

This educational excursion proved to be a valuable opportunity for students to bridge theoretical knowledge with real-world applications, particularly in the context of natural health
