The Department of Media organized an educational visit to TV9 Bharatvarsh for students on February 18, 2025, as part of their academic curriculum. This visit provided an invaluable opportunity for students to participate in a debate-based show on the thought-provoking topic, "Sangh Wants to Unite the Entire Hindu Society." The primary objective of this visit was to help students understand how a live debate is conducted and how an anchor effectively navigates and moderates a discussion to ensure a balanced and engaging conversation.
Beyond the debate experience, students gained first-hand exposure to the technical and operational aspects of a television studio. They observed the setup of cameras, lighting, and other technical equipment essential for producing a high-quality broadcast. Additionally, the visit highlighted the importance of teamwork, as running a successful studio production requires seamless coordination among various departments, including camera operators, producers, technical crew, and on-screen talent.
A highlight of the visit was the opportunity to interact with Mr. Gaurav Agrawal, a renowned anchor, who shared his insights on the challenges and responsibilities of anchoring a live debate. His discussion with the students provided a deeper understanding of the skills required for effective communication, on-the-spot critical thinking, and handling diverse perspectives in a debate format.
A total of 40 students, accompanied by faculty member Mr. Sunil Kumar Yadav, participated in the visit. The experience proved to be highly enriching, bridging the gap between classroom learning and practical application.
This visit offered numerous benefits to students, including:
Practical Learning – Exposure to real-world studio operations and production techniques, complementing their theoretical studies.
Career Awareness – Insight into various career opportunities in media, journalism, news anchoring, music production, and filmmaking.
Creative Inspiration – Observing professionals at work motivated students to explore creative content creation and storytelling.
Overall, the visit to TV9 Bharatvarsh was a transformative experience, enhancing students' understanding of news production, live debates, and media operations, while also inspiring them to pursue careers in the dynamic field of journalism and media.
