Objective of the event: The National Pharmacy Education Day Celebration aimed to promote advancements in pharmacy education by showcasing the latest trends, research, and innovations in teaching and learning. The event provided a platform for educators, students, and industry professionals to collaborate, share knowledge, and discuss ways to bridge the gap between academic training and real-world pharmacy practice. It highlighted the critical role pharmacists play in healthcare and public health, while also celebrating the achievements of those contributing to the field. The event inspired the next generation of pharmacists, offering opportunities for professional development and fostering connections to ensure continued growth and innovation in pharmacy education.
Participating Students: B.Pharm and D.Pharm students were the primary attendees of the event.
The School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, in coordination with IQAC, has organized a symposium on the occasion of National Pharmacy Education Day with the theme “Entrepreneurship & Startups in Pharma and Pharmacy Practice: Encouraging Innovation, Incubation Centres, and Pharmaceutical Startups” Pharma Anveshan 2025 for B. Pharm and D. Pharm students on 6th and 7th March, 2025 in the auditorium. The event aimed to promote pharmacy education and awareness, encourage innovation and entrepreneurship in pharmacy, and improve healthcare outcomes through pharmacy practice. Entrepreneurship in pharmacy is not just about starting a business; it's about improving patient care and transforming the healthcare industry."
The celebration began with a valuable speech by respected Dean of the Pharmacy Dr. Shweta Bajaj, who addressed the gathering, emphasizing the significance of National Pharmacy Education Day. Students from B. Pharm are engaged with the poster presentation and innovative nutraceutical product recipes competitions. Our students showcased their knowledge and creativity through poster presentations and a healthy recipe-making competition, promoting healthy eating habits and culinary creativity among our students.
Further, the event was engaged by our guest lecturer, Dr. Richa Sharma (chief dietitian), with over 9 years of experience. She is passionate about helping individuals lead healthier, more vibrant lives through personalized nutrition plans, and she is also a life member of the Indian Dietetics Association and holds an additional certificate in diabetic education & advanced bariatric nutrition. Our speaker shared valuable insights on the importance of nutrition in maintaining good health. "Nutrition is the foundation of good health. A balanced diet can prevent chronic diseases and improve overall well-being." Healthy eating habits are essential for maintaining mental health and well-being. Total eight teams (i.e.32 students are participated) participated under the guidance of faculty members.
On the second day of the National Pharmacy Education Day Celebration, the Healthy Nutrition Recipe Competition took center stage; participants were invited to submit their innovative and nutritious recipes that promote healthy living and well-being. The competition focused on developing meals that not only taste great but also offer nutritional benefits, emphasizing the role of diet in preventing and managing chronic conditions. Recipes were judged based on creativity, nutritional value, and presentation, with a special focus on how the dishes could contribute to overall health and wellness. The event encouraged participants to explore how pharmacists can play a vital role in promoting healthy eating habits in communities. A total of eight teams participated and demonstrated impressive culinary skills and a deep understanding of nutrition, making it a highly competitive and educational experience. The event served as a platform to inspire students to think critically about the connection between pharmacy practice and public health while also providing a fun and interactive way to celebrate National Pharmacy Education Day.
The second half of the second day of the National Pharmacy Education Day Celebration concluded with a grand valedictory program, marking the official closing of the two-day event in which the first prize goes to Aditi Sakral, Gouri Sharma, Sumit, and Shreyansh B. Pharm 2nd Year under the guidance of Ms. Shivani. Second prize goes to Khushi Tiwari and Soniya, Ankit Saraswat, and Amit Shriwastava under the guidance of Mr. Ankit Tyagi, and third prize goes to Bhupendra, Aman Katiyar, Surya Narayan, and Akib Alvi under the supervision of Ms. Preetshikha. We would like to thank our students, judges, and organizers for making this event possible.
As we conclude this event, we extend our heartfelt thanks to all the guest speakers, participants, judges, and attendees who made this event a great success. The insights gained and connections made over the two days will undoubtedly inspire future efforts to enhance pharmacy education and its impact on society. We look forward to continuing this journey of learning, innovation, and collaboration in the years to come. We are grateful for everyone’s contributions and look forward to seeing the continued growth of the pharmacy profession in the future. Thank you for being a part of this memorable event!
