Objective: The Role of Seasonal Diet in Ritucharya for Optimal Health" is to highlight the importance of eating according to the seasons. It will explain how seasonal foods can boost health, balance the body, and enhance well-being by syncing with nature's cycles. The lecture will provide practical insights into how following Ritucharya, or seasonal dietary practices, can lead to better health and vitality.

 Participating Students: BSc. Ayurveda Diet and Nutrition, B.A. Yoga, M.A. Yoga, PGD Yoga, and M.A. in Consciousness students were the primary attendees of the guest lecture.

 Maharishi School of Science of Consciousness, Noida, organized an online guest lecture on the theme “Aligning with Nature: The Role of Seasonal Diet in Ritucharya for Optimal Health ”on 20th February 2025 (Thursday) in the Maharishi School of Science of Consciousness Department at MUIT, Noida Campus.

 An insightful online guest lecture was conducted on the topic "Aligning with Nature: The Role of Seasonal Diet in Ritucharya for Optimal Health" by Ms. Amrita Shrivastav. The session was organized to educate participants on the significance of dietary practices and their impact on overall well-being. The lecture commenced with the welcome note of the guest speaker by Dr. Mudita Agarwal (Dean, SOC).

Ms. Amrita Shrivastava is an expert in holistic health and consciousness-based practices. She is a faculty member in the Physiology and Health Department at Maharishi International University (MIU), a Maharishi Ayurveda Health Consultant, and a Certified Teacher of Transcendental Meditation (TM), TM-Sidhi Administrator, and Advanced Technique Teacher. Her deep understanding of Ayurveda and holistic health made her an ideal speaker for this subject.

The speaker delivered a comprehensive lecture on Ritucharya, the Ayurvedic practice of aligning one’s lifestyle and diet with the changing seasons. According to Ayurvedic principles, eating seasonal foods that match the body’s natural rhythms promotes balance, boosts immunity, and prevents illness.

She explained how each season has its own qualities, and by consuming foods that correspond with those seasonal changes, individuals can harmonize their bodily functions with nature. This leads to enhanced digestion, better energy levels, and improved health.

The speaker also shared practical tips on how to incorporate seasonal foods into daily meals and how Ritucharya can optimize health by preventing imbalances caused by the wrong foods during inappropriate seasons.

The lecture concluded with an engaging query session, where students actively participated by posing questions and seeking clarifications. This interactive segment allowed students to delve deeper into the subject matter. The session was a valuable opportunity for students to engage with the speaker and gain further insights, making the event a memorable and educational experience for all attendees.
