Objective of the Event: The objective of this report is to provide a detailed account of the workshop-cum-demonstration titled "ACTING FOR ANIMATION" organized by the Department of Animation at MUIT Noida on February 5, 2025. This event was planned to help students understand how traditional acting techniques can be used in 3D animation. The session featured Mr. Prashant Kumar, a well-known expert in the animation industry, who shared useful knowledge about how important acting is for bringing animated characters to life. Additionally, the report seeks to emphasize the educational value of the workshop for students, showcasing how it enhanced their understanding of various artistic concepts and motivated them to further develop their creative abilities.

 Participating Students: Students from the Bachelor of Animation and Master of Animation (all semesters) participated in a workshop on “ACTING FOR ANIMATION.”

On February 5, 2025, the School of Animation at MUIT Noida hosted a workshop-cum-demonstration titled “ACTING FOR ANIMATION." The event featured Mr. Prashant Kumar, a senior 3D Animator at Xentrix, renowned for his work in 3D animation within the production industry. The session was an enriching experience for students, who had the opportunity to gain valuable insights into the creative process. The event began with a warm welcome by Mr. Anil Kumar Roy, Head of the Department of Animation at the Noida Campus, who introduced Mr. Prashant Kumar and highlighted the importance of such workshops in enhancing students' skills. Mr. Prashant Kumar explained the pivotal role of a 3D animation artist in the industry, stressing the importance of mastering the fundamentals of acting and animation along with the 12 principles of animation. He shared his personal experiences and provided a live demonstration of his creative process, which captivated the students. His ability to transform imagination into tangible artwork was both inspiring and educational. The workshop also featured engaging discussions on various topics, including the importance of acting in animation, the 12 principles of animation, and how the industry works. The interactive nature of the session encouraged students to actively participate, ask questions, and explore their own creative potential. The event was a resounding success, leaving students motivated to further develop their artistic abilities.
