“Coding Competitions & Prize Distribution: Java Jumble, Algo Arena & Machine Learning Project Showcase

Objective of the Event: To showcase the coding talents of the participants and encourage the spirit of learning and excellence.

The Maharishi School of Engineering and Technology (SoET) at Maharishi University of Information Technology, Noida, in association with upGrad & IQAC, conducted the Coding Competitions & Prize Distribution ceremony for Java Jumble, Algo Arena & Machine Learning Project Showcase.

1) Java Jumble: The Java Jumble competition was successfully held with an impressive participation of 93 students. The event comprised of two rounds. The first round was an MCQ-based elimination round, from which 15 students were shortlisted for the second round. The second round tested participants on their hard coding skills, culminating in the selection of the top three performers:

 

1.      Prince Raj – 1st Place

2.      Aman Chaudhary – 2nd Place

3.      Amit Kumar – 3rd Place

 The competition was a resounding success, showcasing the coding talents of the participants and encouraging a spirit of learning and excellence. 

2) Algo Arena: The Algo Arena competition was successfully held with enthusiastic participation from 54 students. The event comprised two rounds. The first round was an MCQ-based elimination round, from which 15 students were shortlisted for the second round. The second round evaluated participants on their problem-solving and coding skills in Data Structures and Algorithms (DSA), culminating in the selection of the top three performers:

1.      Prince Raj—1st Place

2.      Aman Chaudhary – 2nd Place

3.      Amit Kumar – 3rd Place 

The competition was a great success, highlighting the algorithmic prowess of the participants and promoting a spirit of innovation and excellence. 

3) Machine Learning Project Showcase: The machine learning project presentation for 3rd-year B. Tech. CDS students. Working in pairs, students showcased diverse applications, including image classification, spam detection, sentiment analysis, predictive maintenance, and customer segmentation. Each team explained their methodologies, algorithms, results, and model performance, followed by interactive Q&A sessions. 

The event fostered collaboration, showcased problem-solving skills, and highlighted practical knowledge in machine learning. Anurag Sharma and Aditi Sharma emerged as the winners, impressing everyone with their innovative project and detailed presentation.

The successful execution of each event reflects the students' dedication to their academic and professional development.
