“Cyber Crime & Ethical Hacking 2022”
When the world is going towards a cyber-world, there is a huge requirement for the awareness of cybercrime. The next world war will be a Cyber war – war without blood. Maharishi School of Data Science, Maharishi University of Information Technology, in association with Amar Ujala, organized an awareness workshop on Cyber Crime & Ethical Hacking on 21st September 2022 at Noida campus. The speaker of the workshop was Mr. Surya Pratap, CEO & Director, Hacking Club & Aezowine Infotech Service Ltd. The workshop was attended by all faculty members of the department and students of the School of Data Science. Dr. Trapty Agarwal, Dean School of Data Science, also talked about the importance of cyber security and future scope for students of Computer Science as Cyber warriors. Mr. Surya informed students that almost 74% of the ATM systems are running on outdated software.
He even updated about the data theft which leads to cyber-attacks. As per the statistics, India is the 2nd vulnerable country for cyber-attacks after the United States of America. He updated the students on the usage of Hacking as a weapon but emphasized on the authorized and legal usage of this weapon as Ethical Hacking. Surya also demonstrated Ethical Hacking to the audience. The session concluded with the question answer round, related to cyber-crime & ethical hacking and a formal discussion of Surya with the audience. The workshop was very informative and interactive. Students and faculty members had a good understanding with hands-on experience of ethical hacking.
