ANIMVERSE ANNUAL FUNCTION

Objective of the Event: The objective of this event is to explore the concept of ANIMVERSE, a unique fusion of the Greek words "anim" (soul) and "verse" (universe), and its significance within the realm of animation. The report seeks to examine how ANIMVERSE encapsulates the vibrant, dynamic, and multidimensional nature of animation, emphasizing its ability to transcend traditional boundaries and create rich, immersive storytelling experiences. By merging the ideas of "soul" and "universe," ANIMVERSE highlights animation's potential to explore diverse narratives, evoke deep emotional connections, and resonate with audiences on a personal level. Ultimately, this report aims to demonstrate how ANIMVERSE represents a transformative approach to animation, where creativity, emotion, and expansive world-building converge to offer new ways of engaging with animated media.
Participating Students: Students from the Bachelor of Animation and Master of Animation programs (all semesters), and it was open for all.
On November 9, 2024, the school of animation at MUIT Noida hosted an event called Animverse. The event started with the guru pooja, followed by the felicitation of distinguished judges, Mohammad Azad is a Gurgaon-based multidisciplinary designer with over a decade of experience in communication design across diverse industries. He has worked with renowned names such as JWT Advertising, Animal, PepsiCo, and Oyo, leading art direction and crafting master visuals for impactful campaigns. His work has been showcased at the London Design Festival as part of Indianama, and he’s a recipient of prestigious awards from Kyoorius, Effies, ET-Now, and Indiefolio, along with a communication arts shortlist for the Oyo campaign "Brats at Home." Aryan Kapoor, known by his stage name Yodhaprops, is a distinguished figure in the world of pop culture and creative entertainment. As a skilled artist and innovator, Aryan has earned significant recognition for his exceptional work in the realms of sci-fi and gaming. Notably, he was the Delhi Comic-Con sci-fi category winner and the Mumbai Comic-Con gaming category winner, accolades that showcase his talent and expertise in these highly competitive spaces. Throughout his career, Aryan has had the privilege of collaborating with major industry leaders, including Marvel, PVR, ASUS, Samsung, and many more, further solidifying his reputation as a sought-after creative professional. His work has made a lasting impact, blending artistic vision with cutting-edge technology and entertainment, making him a prominent name in the creative community. Dr. Kumar Jigeeshu, assistant. professor in the College of Art in Delhi, has published more than 15 articles and research papers and is a member of the Federation of Indian Photography (life member), the Indian Society for Technical Education (life member), and more than 15 solo exhibitions and camps. Animatic, a magazine launched by Prof. (Group Capt.) O.P. Sharma and distinguished guests, explores the dynamic world of animation, gaming, and digital arts. Featuring insightful interviews, creative showcases, and industry trends, it highlights both established and emerging talents. Animatic serves as a platform for innovation, bridging creativity and technology in the entertainment industry. This event, Animverse, celebrates and promotes (avgc-xr) animation, VFX, and gaming. Our goal is to bring together animation enthusiasts in one place, providing a platform for interaction, competition, and the sharing of experiences and perspectives on animation. As an animation learner, it's important for students to gain exposure while studying. The Game Zone, along with the student work exhibition and stalls by students for students, were key attractions of the entire event. These interactive spaces showcased the creativity and talent of students, offering a platform for them to display their game designs, projects, and innovations. The Game Zone featured engaging gameplay experiences, while the exhibition highlighted a diverse range of student work, from digital art to game development. The stalls allowed students to connect, share ideas, and collaborate, creating an inspiring environment that emphasized the importance of hands-on learning and peer-to-peer exchange in the creative industry.
Organizing events like this can attract attention from animators and gamers in the industry. Finally, after an evaluation of all the talent shows and cosplay, the judges announced their decision, selecting the winners who participated in this event. The event ended by distributing cash prizes and certificates to the winners and participants. The event not only achieved its objectives but also exceeded expectations, leaving a lasting impact on the participants and audience.
