Empowering Your Future: A Roadmap to Banking Sector

Organized by: Maharishi School of Business Management & Maharishi Industry Relations Cell (MIRC) under IQAC

 

Objective of the Session:  The session aimed to familiarize   MBA students with the organizational structure, various roles, and skills requirements of the banking sector. It served as a valuable platform for students to interact directly with industry professionals, offering insights into corporate expectations and enhancing their understanding of the banking industry.

 

Participating Students: MBA students from 1st and 3rd  Semesters.

 

Event Overview: The event commenced with a felicitation ceremony for Mr. Furkan Qureshi and Mr.  Naresh, both Sales Counsellors from NIIT Ltd., who were honored by Prof.  (Dr.)  Smita Mishra, Dean, Maharishi School of Business Management (SOBM), MUIT, Noida.

 

Following the ceremony, officials from the NIIT Ltd. conducted an engaging 90-minute session, providing in-depth information about ICICI Bank and the role of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) within the organization. The session covered the key responsibilities of the CRM role, as well as the eligibility criteria for candidates, including a minimum of 50% marks in 10th, 12th, and graduation, with graduation required from a regular course. A total of 50 MBA students attended the session.

 

Interview Process:

  Day 1: Initial Screening

The first day of interviews began with a screening round, where a total of 24 students from the MBA 1st Year and 7 students from the MBA 3rd Semester participated.

 

Step 1 – Screening Round: The students underwent an assessment consisting of 50 general questions aimed at evaluating their suitability for the CRM role.

 

Step 2 – Essay Writing: After the screening, students were required to submit an essay as part of the evaluation process.

 

Step 3 – Aptitude Test: The final step of Day 1 involved an aptitude test. Following the completion of all rounds, a total of 7 students were shortlisted to proceed to the next stage: 3 from MBA 3rd Semester and 4 from MBA 1st Year.

 

Day 2: Online Interview

On Day 2, the shortlisted candidates underwent an online interview. After the interviews, two students were selected for the CRM role at ICICI Bank:

 

Mr. Deendayal Kushwaha – MBA 1st Year

  Ms. Khushi Tyagi – MBA 3rd Semester

 

Day 3: Final Declaration of Results

On the final day, the results were declared, confirming the selection of Mr. Deendayal Kushwaha and Ms. Khushi Tyagi as the successful candidates for the CRM position at ICICI Bank.

 

This event provided valuable exposure to the students, allowing them to gain direct insights from industry professionals and enhancing their understanding of the skills and competencies required for success in the banking sector.
