School of Engineering & Technology, MUIT Noida Campus, in collaboration with its Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), successfully organized a comprehensive two-day Python Programming workshop on “October 25-26, 2024”. The event was conducted in partnership with iHubDivyaSampark IIT Roorkee, marking a significant initiative towards promoting advanced programming skills and tech awareness among students.

 

Objective

The workshop aimed to introduce participants to the fundamentals of Python programming, highlighting its applications in various fields such as data science, web development and automation.

 

Participants

The workshop was attended by 370 students from various disciplines (B. Tech., BCA, MCA, & Diploma) within the School of Engineering Technology, along with 27 faculty members.

 

Overview of the Workshop

The workshop was led by expert resource persons, including Mr. Kush, Mr. Divyansh, Mr. Ashish and Mr. Adinath, who each brought a wealth of industry experience and technical knowledge. With hands-on sessions, the workshop was designed to introduce students to the Fundamentals of Python Programming and demonstrate the language’s applications in emerging fields like data science, automation and web development.

 

Day 1 Highlights

The first day introduced students to Python basics and programming logic, covering essential syntax and foundational programming concepts. Through practical examples and interactive coding exercises, the participants gained a strong grasp of Python’s potential for various applications. This foundation allowed students to understand the structure and versatility of Python programming.

 

Day 2 Highlights

Building on the previous day’s foundation, the second day shifted focus to real-world applications of Python in fields like data science, automation and web development. Students were guided through practical examples, enabling them to see Python’s potential in solving complex problems and creating innovative solutions. The interactive sessions encouraged active participation and hands-on coding, fostering confidence in applying their skills to real-world scenarios.

 

Impact and Outcomes

The workshop empowered around 320 students with valuable programming skills and ignited enthusiasm for tech innovations. Participants left with a deeper understanding of Python’s role in today’s tech landscape and gained essential insights into future tech careers. At the end of the program, each student received a certificate of participation as a token of their learning and commitment.
