Vishwakarma Pooja, dedicated to Lord Vishwakarma, the divine architect and engineer, was celebrated with great enthusiasm at Maharishi University of Information and Technology. This annual event highlights the importance of creativity, craftsmanship, and innovation in engineering and technology.
The celebration commenced with a beautifully decorated mandap, featuring an idol of Lord Vishwakarma surrounded by flowers and symbolic tools representing various engineering disciplines. Faculty members and students gathered to perform the pooja, led by a local priest. The rituals included chanting of mantras, offering flowers, and lighting of lamps, invoking blessings for knowledge and skill in their respective fields.
Esteemed faculty and industry professionals addressed the attendees, sharing insights on the importance of innovation in engineering and the role of spirituality in fostering creativity. They encouraged students to embrace both technical skills and ethical values.
The day concluded with a community feast, bringing together students, faculty, and staff to foster camaraderie. Traditional sweets and snacks were served, enhancing the festive spirit. The Vishwakarma Pooja celebration at Maharishi University was a resounding success, combining spiritual reverence with educational enrichment. It not only honored the divine architect but also inspired the future engineers and innovators to uphold the values of creativity, sustainability, and ethical practices in their work.
For future celebrations, consider expanding the range of workshops and inviting more industry leaders to foster deeper connections between academia and industry. Enhancing the cultural program with more diverse performances could also enrich the experience.
