Guest Lecture on “Importance of GMP in Pharmaceuticals Product Manufacturing”

Objective of the Guest Lecture: The guest lecture aimed to provide attendees with a comprehensive understanding of GMP and its critical role in ensuring the safety, efficacy, and quality of pharmaceutical products. Implementing GMP principles is crucial for organizations to maintain customer trust, reduce risks, and achieve business excellence.

 Participating Students: B. Pharm and D. Pharm students were the primary attendees of the guest lecture.

 The Maharishi School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Noida, in coordination with IQAC, organized a guest lecture on the theme “Importance of GMP in Pharmaceuticals Product Manufacturing "on August 31, 2024 (Saturday) in the Maharishi Auditorium, MUIT Noida Campus.

 The speaker of the guest lecture was Mr. Vivek Dhote, working as Quality Head in Unexo Life Sciences, Haryana, and having more than 28 years of experience in pharmaceutical industries and served many renowned pharmaceutical organizations like IPCA, Glenmark Pharmaceuticals, Dr. Reddy’s laboratories, Serum Institute of India, and many more. He has also worked in different countries, respectively, in quality control and quality assurance departments. The lecture commenced with the felicitation of the guest speaker by Dr. Shweta Bajaj (Dean, SOPS).

The guest lecture highlighted the vital role GMP plays in ensuring product quality, safety, and regulatory compliance across various industries. Implementing GMP principles is crucial for organizations to maintain customer trust, reduce risks, and achieve business excellence.

The lecture concluded with an engaging query session, where students actively participated by posing questions and seeking clarifications. More than 100 students have attended the session; this interactive segment allowed students to gain deeper knowledge into the subject matter. The session was a valuable opportunity for students to engage with the speaker and gain further insights, making the event a memorable and educational experience for all attendees.
