 Objective of the Event -   

 

The “Ignite” orientation program aimed to warmly welcome new students, familiarize them with the university’s academic programs, campus facilities, and support services, and foster a sense of community. The event sought to provide students with essential information and resources for a smooth transition into university life, aligning them with the university's values, expectations, and opportunities for personal and academic growth. Student volunteers from across programs worked extensively to ensure that the orientation was well organized.

 

The program commenced with a Guru Puja, setting a ceremonial tone for the days ahead. Following this, esteemed university officials, including Shri Ajay Prakash Shrivastava (Hon’ble Chancellor), Prof. Gp Capt. O.P. Sharma (Director General), and Prof. (Dr.) Bhanu Pratap Singh (Vice Chancellor), delivered opening remarks. They elucidated the university's mission and core values, encouraged all students to pursue their aspirations, and make the most of the exceptional resources provided for their academic and research endeavors. Dr. Trapty Agarwal, the Dean Academics, shared valuable insights into the academic landscape, enriching the program further. The presence of Dy. Dean Academics, Deans, Dy. Deans, and faculty members from various departments added to the event's significance.

Comprehensive Students’ Handbooks were distributed, covering essential topics such as transcendental meditation, academic regulations, attendance policies, examination procedures, grievance redress mechanisms, and campus resources. A brief overview of the handbook's contents was provided to help students become acquainted with university rules and guidelines. An engaging skit was performed to highlight the negative consequences of ragging and to emphasize the university’s zero-tolerance policy towards such behavior. The skit aimed to foster empathy among students and promote a respectful and inclusive campus environment.

A series of interactive sessions and workshops were conducted to help students understand various aspects of university life, including academic planning, time management, and campus services.

The program included networking events to help new students connect with their peers, faculty, and staff, promoting a sense of community and support.

The “Ignite” 2024 orientation program successfully achieved its objectives by providing new students with essential information, fostering a supportive community, and preparing them for their academic journey. The engaging activities, including the anti-ragging skit and informative sessions, played a crucial role in ensuring a smooth transition into university life.

Students were then guided to their respective departments for a detailed departmental presentation, which included an overview of their specific programs, ERP system insights, information on their timetables, respective coordinators and dress code. To ensure a pleasant experience, refreshment boxes were provided. This well-structured program aimed to fully prepare students for their academic pursuits at MUIT Noida.

The event was well-received, with students expressing appreciation for the comprehensive guidance and the warm welcome extended by the university. The efforts of the Event and Cultural Committee, in coordination with IQAC, contributed significantly to the success of the program.
