Objective of the Event: The Ayurveda workshop served as an introduction to the ancient healing tradition of Ayurveda, which has its roots in India and has been practiced for thousands of years. The workshop focused on imparting foundational knowledge about Ayurvedic principles, lifestyle techniques, and natural remedies that contribute to overall health and wellness.

Participating Students: B.sc (Ayurveda Food and Nutrition), BA (Maharishi Yoga) and PG Diploma (Diet and Nutrition) and PG Diploma (Maharishi Yoga) and MA (Consciousness) students were the primary participants of the event.

Workshop Details: The workshop on the Exploring Ayurveda: Ancient Wisdom for Modern Wellness was organized on August 12, 2024 by the Maharishi School of Science of Consciousness and Maharishi Industry Relation Cell in coordination with IQAC.

 Impact Report: - A total of 40 members, including faculty and students from the School of Science of Consciousness (SOC) attended & benefited through the Workshop.

Workshop Activities:

1. Introduction to Ayurveda:

The session began with an introduction to the history and philosophy of Ayurveda. The instructor explained how Ayurveda focuses on balancing the mind, body, and spirit for overall health.

2. Understanding Doshas:

Participants learned about the three doshas—Vata, Pitta, and Kapha—which are believed to govern physical and mental processes in the body. The instructor explained how each person has a unique combination of these doshas, which determines their constitution and health tendencies.

3. Diet and Lifestyle:

Participants learned about Ayurvedic dietary guidelines customized to their doshas, helping them choose foods that support their unique constitution and maintain balance.
Tips on daily routines were provided, enabling participants to incorporate healthy habits that align with Ayurvedic principles.

 

4. Herbal Remedies:

The workshop introduced common Ayurvedic herbs like turmeric, ashwagandha, and triphala, highlighting their uses in treating various ailments.
Participants were educated on the benefits of these herbs and how to integrate them into their daily lives for improved health and well-being.


 

WELCOMING CEREMONY:

The warm welcome extended to Dr. Ashutosh Pandey by Dr. Trapty Agarwal and Mr. Gaurav Thakur set a positive tone for the event, emphasizing respect and hospitality.
The Guru Puja ceremony sought blessings for the event, promoting a spiritual and harmonious atmosphere conducive to learning.


 

CONCLUSION:

The workshop concluded with a Q&A session where participants could ask questions and share their experiences. The workshop aimed to empower individuals to take charge of their health by incorporating Ayurvedic wisdom into their daily routines. By providing information on the fundamental concepts of Ayurveda, participants were equipped with practical tools and strategies to support their well-being and enhance their quality of life. The event was well moderated by Mr. Amit from MIRC.

Overall, the workshop served as a stepping stone for individuals to explore the profound teachings of Ayurveda and integrate its principles into their personal health journey.
