Objective of the Shodh Charcha: The objective of the Shodh Charcha Law Lecture Series—Episode 08 focused on providing participants with a foundational understanding of legal research.

Shodh Charcha Law Lecture Series-Ep08 was held on 20th July, 2024. The session was organized by Maharishi Law School in coordination with IQAC. The session featured esteemed guest Dr. Sujata Bali (Dean & Professor of Law at IILM Law School, Gurugram) and Prof. (Dr.) K.B. Asthana (Dean MLS), alongside faculty coordinator Saumya Shukla (Assistant Professor), Riya Koul (Assistant Professor), and student coordinator LB Kiran (LL.B. 2nd year).

Dr. Sujata Bali commenced the lecture by emphasizing the importance of legal research in the field of law. She elucidated the significance of thorough research in crafting well-informed legal arguments and making sound judgments. The lecture delved into various methods and techniques essential for effective legal research. Dr. Sujata Bali elaborated on utilizing primary and secondary legal sources, understanding case law, statutory interpretation, and the role of legal databases. Dr. Sujata Bali highlighted the transformative role of technology in legal research. She discussed the integration of digital tools, online databases, and artificial intelligence in enhancing research efficiency and accuracy.
