Objective of the Visit: The primary objective of the Aaj Tak studio visit was to offer students an educational and informative experience by allowing them to observe the live coverage of the Lok Sabha election results and interact with professionals in the field of journalism and political analysis.

 

On 4^th June 2024, a group of MLS students with faculty member Dr. Deependra Pathak had the opportunity to visit the Aaj Tak news studio in Noida, India. The students were seated in the studio audience area, where they observed the live coverage of the Lok Sabha election results. They witnessed news anchors delivering updates, analysts providing commentary, and reporters reporting from different constituencies across the country.

This educational trip aimed to provide students with a firsthand experience of the inner workings of a news channel and to spark their interest in current affairs and media production. Students witnessed the bustling newsroom environment, where journalists researched stories, wrote scripts, and conducted interviews.

Students had the opportunity to learn how technologies are used to create dynamic backgrounds behind news anchors. Students observed the editing process, where raw footage is transformed into polished news segments. They also discovered the role of advertisements within the broadcasting schedule.

The Aaj Tak studio visit proved to be a valuable learning experience for the students. They gained a deeper understanding of the news production process, from story selection to broadcast.

Overall, the trip to Aaj Tak studios provided students with a unique opportunity to learn beyond the classroom. By witnessing the inner workings of a news channel, they gained valuable insights into the media landscape and the importance of a well-informed citizenry. This experience will undoubtedly leave a lasting impression and inspire some students to pursue careers in the dynamic world of media.
