Objective of the Shodh Charcha Law Lecture series-05:  Objectives of the Shodh Charcha Law Lecture Series-05:  The main objective behind the Shodh Charcha EP05 is to create awareness about the importance of citizen security and safety in India, to educate the students about the provisions and benefits of the Bhartiya Nagrik Suraksha Sanhita, and also to discuss the current challenges and threats to citizen security in India and how the Sanhita addresses them.

Consequently, in Shodh Charcha, Law Lecture Series 05 was organized on Recent Developments in Investigation under Bhartiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita-2023 by Maharishi Law School. The Shodh Charcha was addressed by Dr. Shubham Srivastava, Assistant Professor (Law), National University of Study and Research in Law, Ranchi. Prof. J.K. Semwal, former professor at the National Forensic Science University, under the Ministry of Home, Govt. of India, New Delhi. Sh. Amlesh Raju, Senior Correspondent, Jan Satta, Indian Express Group. The event was facilitated by Prof. (Dr.) K.B. Asthana, Dean of MLS, Ms. Saumya Shukla (Assistant Professor), Ms. Riya Koul (Assistant Professor), and moderated by LB Kiran, a student of LL.B. 1st year.

The Charcha started by providing a comprehensive view of the Bhartiya Nagrik Suraksha Sanhita, highlighting its significance in ensuring the safety and security of citizens and Key provisions of the legislation were discussed, emphasizing its role in enhancing investigative practices and strengthening law enforcement efforts. Dr. Shubham Srivastava, Prof. J. K. Semwal, and Sh. Amlesh Raju enriched the session with their expertise. Prof. Semwal's insights into forensic science advancements and the evolving legal framework were particularly enlightening. Expert facilitation helped in interactive discussions, fostering a dynamic learning environment where participants explored topics ranging from evidentiary procedures to emerging cybercrime challenges.

Following the enriching discourse, certificates were distributed to participants. The top three performers of the quiz received commendation for their achievements, fostering a healthy spirit of competition and motivation among attendees. Certificates of participation were also awarded, acknowledging the engagement and contribution of all participants.

The discussion underscored the role of students in contributing to the development and implementation of Bharatiya Nagrik Suraksha Sanhita. Opportunities for student engagement, such as internships, research projects, and workshops, were discussed to foster a deeper understanding of investigative practices and legal frameworks.
