Objective of the Visit: The primary objective of the court visit was to offer students an opportunity to observe legal proceedings firsthand, understand courtroom etiquette, witness advocacy skills in action, and gain insights into the functioning of the judicial system.
Academic Society of Maharishi Law School in coordination with IQAC organized a court visit to Patiala House on 16th November 2021 to provide students with practical insights into courtroom proceedings and legal practice. The visit aimed to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge gained in classrooms and the practical application of law in real-world scenarios.
The visit commenced with an orientation session conducted by faculty members, providing an overview of the legal cases scheduled for the day, courtroom decorum, and guidelines for observing proceedings respectfully.
Throughout the day, students had the opportunity to witness various stages of legal proceedings, such as hearings, trials, arguments, and judgments. They observed the interaction between judges, lawyers, witnesses, and litigants, gaining insights into the dynamics of courtroom communication and legal strategies.
The group was accompanied by Prof. (Dr.) K.B Asthana Dean MLS, Mr. Arun Kumar (Assistant Professor). The event saw enthusiastic participation from students and faculty member.
