Objective of the Event:
Maharishi Law School, in coordination with IQAC, organized an essay competition on the topic "Environmental Activism and the Role of NGT." The competition aimed to encourage students to delve into critical issues concerning environmental protection, activism, and the significance of the National Green Tribunal (NGT) in India's legal framework.
The primary objective of the essay competition was to stimulate scholarly discourse on environmental activism and legal mechanisms for environmental protection, particularly focusing on the role and impact of the National Green Tribunal. By engaging students in research and analysis, the competition sought to enhance their understanding of environmental law and instill a sense of environmental responsibility.
The essay competition witnessed enthusiastic participation from students of Maharishi Law School. Participants were tasked with crafting essays that explored various dimensions of environmental activism, the challenges faced by environmentalists, and the efficacy of legal avenues such as the NGT in addressing environmental issues.
After rigorous evaluation by a panel of esteemed judges, the following participants emerged as the winners:

Runner-up: Anushmita Mandal
The event not only provided a platform for students to showcase their research and analytical skills but also fostered a greater understanding of environmental issues and legal mechanisms for environmental protection.
