 "Domestic Violence during COVID-19"

Organized by: Maharishi law School in coordination with IQAC

Objective of the Event: Maharishi Law School organized an essay competition on the pertinent issue of "Domestic Violence during COVID-19" on the 5th of December, 2020. This competition aimed to shed light on the exacerbation of domestic violence incidents during the pandemic and encourage insightful discourse on potential solutions.
Students from various semesters of the BA LLB and LLB programs participated enthusiastically, bringing forth their perspectives and analyses on this critical societal issue.
After a meticulous evaluation process, the following participants emerged as the winners:
1. Ms. Shradha Joshi (BA LLB III Sem) - Secured the 1st position with her comprehensive understanding and articulation of the complexities surrounding domestic violence amidst the COVID-19 crisis.

2. Ms. Seleenamma KV (LLB III Sem) - Secured the 2nd position through her insightful examination of the socio-legal dimensions of domestic violence exacerbated by the pandemic.

3. Ms. Ayushi Aditya (BA LLB III Sem) - Secured the 3rd position with her thoughtful exploration of the psychological impacts of the pandemic on victims of domestic violence.
The essay competition served as a platform for students to delve into the multifaceted nature of domestic violence during the COVID-19 pandemic. The submissions reflected deep introspection and analysis, showcasing the students' commitment to understanding and addressing this pressing issue.
