Objective of the Event: Maharishi Law School, in coordination with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), celebrated Constitution Day on the 26th of November, 2020. In commemoration of this significant occasion, a debate on the topic "Uniform Civil Code - The Indispensability or Absurdity" was organized. The event aimed to foster dialogue and critical thinking among students regarding the implementation of a Uniform Civil Code in India. Prof. Bhim Sen Singh graced the occasion as the Chief Guest, enriching the event with his insights and expertise.
The Constitution Day celebration commenced with a tribute to the architects of the Indian Constitution and a reflection on the principles enshrined in this foundational document. Students and faculty members reaffirmed their commitment to upholding the values of justice, liberty, equality, and fraternity embodied in the Constitution.

Following the Constitution Day celebration, the debate on the topic of a Uniform Civil Code commenced. The debate featured participants from Maharishi Law School who presented arguments for and against the implementation of a Uniform Civil Code in India. The topic elicited passionate discourse, with participants exploring legal, social, cultural, and constitutional dimensions of the issue.
