Essay Writing Competition -Envisioning India @2050

Objective of the Competition: The primary objective of the essay writing competition was to engage students in critical thinking and creative expression, fostering a sense of patriotism and forward-thinking.

As part of the ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’ initiative by the Government of India to commemorate 75 years of India's independence, Maharishi Law School organized an online essay writing competition on the theme "Envisioning India @2050". The competition aimed to encourage students to reflect on India's future trajectory and articulate their vision for the nation's development and progress.

A total of 15 students participated in the competition, with 10 students submitting essays in English and 5 in Hindi. The essays were limited to 1500 words, allowing participants to articulate their visions concisely yet comprehensivel.Following a thorough evaluation process, Deepshikha Yadav, a student of BALLB IIIrd Sem, emerged as the winner of the competition. Himanshu Tripathi, a student of BALLB Vth Sem, secured the second prize, while Rohit Singh Panvar, a student of BBALLB VIIth Sem, clinched the third prize. The winners were awarded cash prizes of Rs 1000/-, Rs 800/-, and Rs 500/- respectively, along with certificates of appreciation.

The essay writing competition successfully achieved its objectives of stimulating critical thinking, promoting linguistic diversity, and celebrating India's journey of independence. The event provided students with a platform to articulate their aspirations for the nation's future, fostering a sense of pride and optimism among participants.

The winners of the competition were honored on the auspicious occasion of the 76th Independence Day, with Chief Guest Col Gyan Prakash Misra, SM (Retd), felicitating them at the Noida campus. The presence of Mr. Ajay Kumar Hon’ble Dean Academics, Deans of Schools, faculty, staff members, and students further enriched the significance of the occasion, reaffirming the commitment of Maharishi Law School to academic excellence and patriotic fervor.
