“Effect of COVID-19 Pandemic on Justice Delivery System”

Objective of the Guest Lecture: The global Covid-19 pandemic that has led to lockdowns in a large number of nations around the world, and has caused serious disruption in all facets of life for an uncertain period has no doubt affected the Indian legal landscape also. Taking into consideration the fact that a complete shutdown of the Indian justice system is unfavorable, the law firms have implemented work from home policies, whereas, the judicial administrators have adopted technology by conducting virtual hearings through video conferencing.

Guest Lecture was organized by Maharishi Law School in coordination with IQAC. The lecture was addressed by Mr. P.K Malhotra, Former secretary Ministry of Law &Justice. The event was followed by welcome address by Dr. K.B Asthana Dean, MLS.

It was successfully coordinated by Prof. (Dr.) K.B. Asthana Dean MLS, Dr. Annu Bahl Mehra Dy. Dean MLS, Faculty members Ms Shrishti Pandey (Assistant Professor).

Overall the lecture was a great success in terms of providing a platform for students a unique opportunity to apply legal theory in a practical setting, helping them develop essential advocacy skills in Justice delivery system in changing times with Covid-19 Pandemic and technological advancement ,while valuable experience that can contribute to their professional development.

The event drew to a close with Dr. Annu Bahl Mehra , Dy. Dean MLS delivering a heartfelt vote of thanks, expressing gratitude for everyone’s participation and contributions. Her words resonated with warmth, wrapping up the occasion on a note of appreciation.
