“Role of Youth in Indian Politics”

Organized by: Maharishi Law School in coordination with IQAC

Objective of the Event: Maharishi Law School hosted an essay competition on the exciting topic ‘Role of Youth in Indian Politics’ was held on the 12^th January, 2021 by Maharishi Law School, Noida to celebrate National Youth Day. This competition aimed to shed light on the exacerbation of domestic violence incidents during the pandemic and encourage insightful discourse on potential solutions.
The event was held online and the submissions were permitted both in English and Hindi language. The participants comprised the students from various courses at Maharishi Law School including BA LLB, BBA LLLB, LLB (3 years) and LLM (one year and two years). Prof. (Dr.) K. B. Asthana, Dean, Maharishi Law School graced the occasion by addressing all participants with a brief speech on the teachings and the personality of Swami Vivekanada. Prof. (Dr.) Annu Bahl Mehra, Deputy Dean, Maharishi Law School also addressed the students with her words of encouragement and practical tips useful to law students. 

The winners were awarded School trophies and e-certificates and all participants were given the certificate of participation.

This essay writing competition was truly was a learning experience for all the participants.

The Online competition was organized jointly by Mr. Padmesh Kataria and Ms. Srishti Pandey, Asst. Professors, MLS, Noida.

As for the result, Ms. Phool Kumari (LLM student) bagged the first position, scoring a total of 55 points, Ms. Aparna Matoo (LLM student) was placed in the second position with 35 points and Mr. Parag Parashar got the third place with 30 points.
